Based on The Story of the Trapp Family Singers by Maria Von Trapp, The Sound of Music is a beloved musical, set in Austria on the eve of Nazi occupation. The musical centers around Maria Rainer, a postulant at an abbey, who becomes a governess to a large family of seven children. She gradually brings music and joy back into their lives, which ultimately leads to a heartwarming story of love and family.
On May 21st, the SCS Drama Club presented the beloved musical, The Sound of Music, at the Kitchener Public Library Theatre. The girls, directed by Amber Picardo, Avery Tan, Julianna Pasia, and Aria Lobo, displayed an array of talent through their wonderful acting and beautiful singing! Over one hundred and seventy guests attended! Following the show, everyone was invited to enjoy some light refreshments and snacks! Great job, girls!
